About The Author

The author is a wildly imaginative Mensan with a feral mind that seeks out fun, fantasy, and carnal delights. He draws from a lifetime full of diverse experiences and interests to create his paranormal and sci-fi adventures. He has a BA in chemistry, an MBA, and an MS in research psychology with a personal emphasis in animal behavior, altered states of consciousness, and the psychology of sex and romance. His wilderness adventures–hiking, backpacking, mountain climbing, backcountry horse riding, boating- are the basis of much of his novel’s action, as is world travel. He served in the U.S. Air Force as an air weapons control officer and has worked as an administrator, materials engineer, and computer systems analyst, all of which enrich his storytelling.

A big fan of mythology since high school, he enjoys incorporating myths from many cultures and religions into his work. For creative inspiration, he conjures up a “muse” of the mind, a Jungian anima who loves to be amused. More inspiration comes from his large, complex O-scale train layout, which he designed, built, and landscaped; where staged scenes bring fiction closer to “reality.” The train layout also hosts the Port of Martinez Junction, set in the San Francisco East-bay area of the 1950s. This is the home port of the Venture, where epic fantasy voyages and adventures begin and end.

The author lives in the scenic Pacific Northwest near Seattle, with his equally multi-talented wife.
